The MacPherson House is especially well suited for gatherings that feel warm, personal, and unhurried, the kind where conversation lingers and the memories last long after the day is done.
As a boutique bed & breakfast, events here are thoughtfully woven into the rhythm of hosting overnight guests. From daytime showers to milestone celebrations filled with family and friends, each gathering is shaped with care, comfort, and Southern hospitality in mind.

Events at the MacPherson House take place in one of two settings: our Gathering Space or the Main Floor of the Inn. The right fit depends on the size, style, and timing of your event.

The Gathering Space
The Gathering Space is a dedicated event room located on the ground floor of the MacPherson House, with a private entrance directly from the parking lot and no need to move through the main guest areas.
Inside, the space features an open layout with exposed brick, folding tables and chairs, patio access, and two dedicated restrooms. Being on the ground level makes it easy for guests to arrive, mingle, and come and go comfortably.
It’s relaxed and flexible rather than formal, and it’s where most showers, brunches, and daytime gatherings take place.

Option 1: DIY Gatherings
Simple & Hands-On
DIY events are best if you’d like to bring your own food, décor, and personal touches.

Food, staff, & setup included
If you’d rather focus on your guests and let us handle the details, a hosted gathering may be just the right fit.
Hosted events include food prepared and served by our team, table setup, staff support during the event, and cleanup afterward. Depending on the size and flow of your gathering, hosted events may take place on the Main Floor or in the Gathering Space.
